Junkin

I love Junkin, I love everything about junking.... The huge variety of junk that can be made into something beautiful. Take a old door for example. Some people would pass a old door by without a second thought. Me..... Oh no, I would buy that old door. Because it can be turned into a beautiful potting bench  with shelving. I hope you will never look at a old door the same way. Make something Beautiful!

What's a little frost scare anyway?

Ohhh my goodness, we had a cols snap here in Idaho. We had a freeze warning.... Ans boy did I move into action.  There was no way all my seelungs that I started from seed under growing lites were going to die on my if I could help it. So, all the gallonilk jugs that I've been saving, every extra sheet and box that I could find were used for plant protection. My Garden is 4000 square ft. It was no easy task, but each and every plant was protected. Happy to report that only one basil plant succumbed to the frost. Eveything else survived.... Whew, we dodged that bullet... Now to tell jack frost.... Don't come back until winter!!!

Finishing touch on Glamper Bunkhouse

I wanted a nice backsplash around the stove, was thinking silver. When I saw the Copper,I fell in love!. It looked warm and was so easy to install. I was so surprised, its actually plastic . Can't tell by the look of it. I also scored some great things at the Idaho Expo giant garage sale.all new cook ware for glamping,a Lasoo, steamer and a Awsome wood basket. I'm lovingy Glamper!

My first mothers day alone

Tomorrow marks a bittersweet milestone in my life. After being a mother for 30 years, raising. 5 kids, going thru all the trials And tribulations that life had for us.. tomorrow is my first mothers day without my kids living in the same state.... Funny thing is, I'm okay with it!. I actually feel liberated and free..... Without having to do the traditional lunch or dinner with the kids in wich most of the time I cooked anyway and often times bhad to break up a squabble or or patch someone up because they got hurt on a skateboard. Tomorrow is truly my day. I'm not doing any work, cooking or gardening... Which I do everyday. I've decided I'm sitting in the shade with a good book and some iced tea... And may take a nap while I'm at it too. Happy mothers day ladies... Put your feet ip too.

Camper becomes a GLAMPER, bunkhouse style

A while ago, I started this project to Glamp my camper. I Knew my theme would be country bunk house. So once I picked my theme off to the fabric store I went. The walls were my biggest challenge. The Boreing ,dull wall color and border strip that showed its age. I covered it with strips of embossed fabric that looks and feels like leather. Then finished it off with thick twine and upholstery tacks. My favorite thing is the big kitchen valance with red bandanas, ohhh yes, don't forget to look at my pillows. I have printed up vintage images of a cowboy and cowgirl. And decorated the entire Glamper with coordinating colored fabrics and old jeans. Next up is to make a floor runner and also a cute tablecloth or placemats.  Glamping in a bunk house is much better than camping in a old grey camper... Professional Bull Riding in Idaho

P B R came to the Idaho center the past two nights. It was a sold out croud ans though I have been to many rodeos ,this was my first PBR. It was amazing. The bulls seemed to be much larger. There were 35 riders.. then 15 in the championship round. A Brazillian rider by the name of Salvador Alves won. I was surprised that there were actually 4 from brazil. Others came from Austrailia,Oaklahoma, Missouri, Texas, Canada,Tennessee, Montana,.... None from Idaho. It was a great show of skill... And luck with plenty of  lucky missus on injuries. A Rider by the name of Zack Brown was carried off on a stretcher and sent to the hospitol after a hard fall on his neck. He was in extreme pain and was immobilized in case he had a fractured or broken neck. Word came in that his MRI came in showing no fractures or breaks. He was lucky. Others were kicked in the face, head and had bad falls. I noticed that some riders wore  helmets while others wore cowboy hats... Why wouldn't they all wear helmets?... Pride?, machoism?... In a nutshell, PBR was amazing, I look foward to going again. Lots of excitement.

Hardening off of my little vegetable plants.

Well, the weather is amazing here and its time to slowly alclamate the seedlings to the real sun.  Over the next two weeks, my little seedlings will be brought out into daylight for a few hours.    In the mean time we are working hard at getting the planting beds ready. Our Garden measures Wwll over 4000 square feet. The biggest Garden ever. We are planting over 30 vegetables and herbs. We still have trellis to build mulch to lay and drip irrigation to put in as well. I love every bit of this work!

I’ve falling in love with Patchouli oil.

Hello!  After the holiday’s my face likes to break out in blemishes. It’s mostly because of all the junk food I consume. The good thing is t...
