New offerings at the Eagle Saturday Market.

It’s been a amazing year at the Eagle Saturday Market and It’s not over yet.  I’ve been listening to my customers and one thing that has been asked of me to make with my bees wax is food wraps.  Basically baked cotton fabric with bees wax will replace foil and plastic and help save the environment one wrap at a time.  Bye bye to toxic foil and plastic .
Food wraps are reusable , safe and economical.

I also will be offering our freshly harvested Local Honey and bees wax candles.

Yummy smells and tastes for your senses.  Our honey is raw .  Beneficial for you.

I also will be selling my herbs and Tea blends  as we’ve been approved by the health department and are legal to sell now.  No chemicals .. only the good stuff!

And of course my lucious Body Butter is lighter and fluffier than the last batch.   This time I added pure lavender oil tonit to add to the healing attributes and compliment the. Plantain, comfrey and calendula.
Good for what ails the skin.

Eagle Farmers Market

Hi everyone, I’ve been super busy and haven’t updated this for a while and for that I apologize.  My grandchildren came to visit, the garden and keeping the family busy with summer activities took over my life. They left this morning so now I had the time to sit and update a few things.  First being my blog.  The Eagle Idaho Farmers Market has been a wonderful blessing as far as selling my plants and my herbal items.  The Tinctures are working and everyone is loving my bath products.  So if your from Idaho and have stopped by my booth THANK YOU.  It’s very exciting when someone takes the time to let me know that my herbal recommendations worked.   Here’s a few pictures of what my booth looks like.

Altered box for tinctures

As a Herbalist, nothing makes me happier than making plant medicine.  As a crafter, artist, nothing makes me happier than creating something.   This little piece took 4 weeks to complete and I learned this technique from a little lady living in the country in Ontario that was happy to teach me.   I took felt, gesso, paint and a few other ingredients and wham. Transformed a box into a beautiful carrier for my Tinctures and salves.  Love it and am thinking of my next project.
Inside holds my saves and tinctures

3-D  front  is “ day”

The other side is night

When the box is open... it reads ... I am a day dreamer( on the day side)  And a night thinker( on the night side)

Not seen when open unfortunately, but I had nowhere else to place these words.Day is over, tonight has come. Today is gone. Embrace your dreams,as tomorrow comes with a whole new light.

My set up at the Eagle Idaho Farmers Market.  The tincture box was a hit with many visitors.

Winter is fast approaching... so I have been sooooo busy here.

Harvesing the garden and not to mention all the herbs. Tinctures to make, soaps to set to cure...  I do love my life here on this little plot of land.  Love the fact that if you give to nature it gives back 10 fold... I love the fact that a little effort produces great things.    Here are some pictures of what I've been up to....
How do you celebrate the patch of land you live on?
soaps to start off with... this one is Goatsmilk honey and oats,
Then I made some Calendual shae butter soap that is wonderful to smell, touch and feel.
I grow a LOT of lavender, I make tinctures, salves and now I tried my hand at making lavender soap... its luscious and yummy. Such a relaxing smell and feel.

but I was on a roll ya know.. so I made up some seasonal soaps too.... like
pumkin spice latte's?  My lovely daughter in law recommended I try to make something like that yummy seasonal drink ... and I did... drum roll please........

I loved that one so much I made a video to send to my daughter in law because the whole idea was hers.. so I must give credit where credit is due.

well....
I hope this works... its late, I'm tired and will correct my mistakes here tomorrow.

nighty night.

Prepping for cold and flu season?

This will keep the cruds away. Take a jar any size and fill it 1/2 to 3/4 fullbof peeled raw garlic cloves. Then cover the garlic with honey. Non processed .. only raw honey works for this.   Then cap but leave it a tad loose because it needs to breath. Shake it every day for a month. It will change color and consistency. Gett a little runny.   I tighten my cap up before shaking it.    After a month it's usable but the longer it sits the better it will be . Fermented    Honey and garlic ... it will keep the cruds away!  Eat a clove with some of the honey everyday.   Oh leave about 1/4 of the jar empty so. You don't want to overfill.

I’ve falling in love with Patchouli oil.
